The Classroom
Mrs. Chen projects Q Timer on the whiteboard. Exam timer: 45 minutes. Students see a calm green countdown. At 5 minutes, it turns yellow. She sends a message: “Start wrapping up.” Time’s up — red flash, gentle chime.
The Church Service
Pastor Mike’s tech team builds a 7-segment rundown: Welcome, Worship, Sermon, Offering… Confidence monitor shows the current segment and time remaining. The band knows exactly when to come back in. All controlled from a phone backstage.
The Conference
Each speaker gets 20 minutes. Q Timer shows green for the first 15, yellow for the warning, red for overtime. The stage manager sees the “Next” button on their phone and cues the next speaker without leaving their seat.
The Live Stream
A Twitch streamer adds Q Timer as an OBS Browser Source. Transparent background. The countdown overlay matches the stream layout. Chat sees the timer. When it hits zero, the stream event starts automatically.
The Gym
Interval mode: 40 seconds work, 20 seconds rest, 8 rounds. The green/red phases switch automatically. No touching the screen mid-burpee. A final chime signals the cooldown.
Up and running in 30 seconds.
